The hard work of clearing out invasive plants and planting native plants is only a portion of the work that we are doing. There will be years of lighter work maintaining the site. This perhaps is the true stewardship, the checking for and removing invasive plants, keeping the site picked up and watching for and removing graffiti. Basically keeping our site looking good!
We are looking for people, particularly neighbors, to take and active part in keeping our trail looking good. This could be an hour a month walking through the project and doing what ever need to be done. If you think you could help, even occasionally, please contact Jim Corson.
If you don’t have the time or energy for active participation, please consider a donation for the project. Donated Funds go to the following areas:
- Purchasing native plants
- Purchasing Irrigation supply
- Purchasing a bench for the NE 60th Street end
